PM Tony Abbott has a portrait of HM in his office, as reported here previously. (Mr Abbott is a former executive director of ACM.)It has been revealed that this portrait is actually an official copy of the celebrated Wattle Painting by William Dargie himself.

It was found in storage - yes, storage- at the National Museum.

The good news is that there are now twice the number of portraits of HM in Parliament than previously.
