It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Edward John (Ted)
Eggins RAAF Retd. The news was conveyed today by his Son, David.

Ted was a totally dedicated and enthusiastic promoter of our Australian
National Flag and the Australian National Flag Association.

As a tireless volunteer he ably and inspirationally carried-out these
duties of managing the ANFA office at ANZAC House for numerous years. Ted was widely admired
for his knowledge and thoroughness in undertaking his organising, recording and action
role at ANFA for over a quarter of a century.

He was always a step ahead in superbly planning and promoting events
such as Flag Day.

Ted had a loyal following of ANFA members, many of whom stayed in regular contact with him over the years.

We miss him dearly and acknowledge with gratitude and admiration his outstanding qualities and unique service to his country, his friends and our National Flag.
