Details of the Royal Tour including the Star of the show, Prince George, who will accompany his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been released and are set out below

7 April
— Arrive in Wellington, New Zealand, ceremonial welcome Government House

8 April — No events scheduled. Flight recovery

9 April — Plunket Parents’ Group, meeting parents and children

10 April — Wreath laying and commemoration war memorial Seymour Sq, Blenheim

— Visit Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre for tour with Peter Jackson

— Call in with prime minister and leader of the opposition

— State reception, Prince William to deliver speech and unveil portrait of Queen

11 April — Visit RNZAF Whenuapai near Auckland to meet serving personnel and their families

— Their royal highnesses each board an Emirates Team NZ Americas Cup yacht for races about bay

— Seallegs land/sea amphibious vehicle trip Westpark Marina across Auckland Harbour

12 April — Pacific Aerospace review manufacturing plant Hamilton Airport (Duke Only)

— Rainbow Place Childrens’ Hospice (Duchess only) to meet children, parents and nurses and watch play therapy sessions

— Cambridge War Memorial and walk through town centre

— Avantidrome Hamilton, open velodrome and watch a BMX display and meet Olympic cyclists

13 April — Dunedin Airport to be greeted by Ngai Tahu iwi

— Church service at St Paul’s in Dunedin

— Rippa Rugby, Duke and Duchess to participate in tournament as coaches of players. Meet All Blacks players

— Visit Otago winery to sample local wines and produce

— Shotover Jet ride

14 April — Christchurch City Council Building. Honour to be paid to 185 who died in earthquake at a position to be confirmed

— 2015 Cricket World Cup event at a public park, royal couple to “participate”

— Attend a lunch at Wigram Air Base and later view memorial wall

15 April — No engagements

16 April — Visit Royal NZ Police College in Porirua near Wellington, view police training and dog display

— Walk through city centre Wellington

Depart NZ

16 April — Arrive in Sydney early afternoon and attend a Sydney Opera House reception hosted by the NSW governor and premier. Duke to deliver an address. Depart Man O War steps wharf for boat ride to Admiralty House

17 April — Visited October 2013 fire affected street in Blue Mountains and talk to local residents

— Visit a community centre and talk with leaders and members of the emergency services

— Take in sights of Blue Mountains and take part in activities

18 April — Attend Royal Easter Show at Olympic Park that attracts 900,000 on average over two week extravaganza. Sample local produce and watch agricultural displays and shows

— Bear Cottage Childrens’ Hospice

— Surf Life Saving display at Manly Beach

19 April — RAAF Amberley, inspect the guard and view several aircraft, plant a tree at Memorial Gardens and attend reception for serving members and their families

— Reception at Brisbane Convetion Centre hosted by state governor and premier

20 April — Easter Sunday church service at St Andrews Cathedral in Sydney, sign First Fleet bible

— Taronga Zoo visit including bilby enclosure, view tree kangaroos and giraffes and native Australian animals and watch birds of prey display in outdoor amphitheatre

21 April — No engagements, private time

22 April — National Indigenous Training Academy, view the school and hand out graduation certificates

— Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, view welcome to country display and arts exhibition, possibly takepart in art

— Attend afternoon tea with NT chief minister

— Walk about Uluru base with local guides

23 April — Northern Sound System Elizabeth view music studios and teenage centre, watch performances meet young people and watch skateboards

— Attend reception in Adelaide at Playford Civic Centre hosted by state governor and premier

24 April — National Portrait gallery in Canberra, view the works and meet “well known highly accomplished in their fields” subjects of the works.

— Prime Ministers’ Reception in the Great Hall Parliament House where the Duke will deliver a short speech

— Visit National Arboretum and plant a tree with young community members and their children

Governor-General’s Reception

25 April — ANZAC Day March and Commemorative Service at the Australian War Memorial and plant a Lone Pine tree, the seed of which came from Gallipoli in the Memorial Garden. Lay a wreath.

— Depart in the afternoon from RAAF Fairbairn on RAAF charter for transfer to a scheduled international commercial flight back to London
