Australians remain attached to our Royal family, as shown in the considerable interest in The Queen’s last visit, the Royal Wedding and the Diamond Jubilee.”"And since the 1999 referendum,  support for the constitutional monarchy has significantly increased,” he added.

As the Diamond Jubilee year draws to a close, it will be wonderful to have Prince Charles and Camilla among us as the Queen's personal representatives in her  Diamond Jubilee Year,” Executive Director Jai Martinkovits said.

In a visit to begin on Monday 5 November and ends on Saturday 10 November, it is expected that Prince Charles and Camilla will visit Longreach, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, Sydney and Canberra.

A report in The Sydney Morning Herald on 1 May 2012 pointed out that turning the heating up or down can be a source of tension in many households, and Prince Charles’ home, Highgrove, is no exception.

This came from a story in the London Daily Telegraph on 30 April 2012 by Gordon Rayner,”
The Prince of Wales: why I have to fight over the heating thermostat at Highgrove”

In an interview with the TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp Prince Charles had hinted at battles with the Duchess of Cornwall over his preference for wearing extra clothes rather than turning up the thermostat as he made a virtue of penny-pinching.

But in a letter published in The Herald on the day following the report, the newspaper was criticised for its approach. Paul Bugeja of Sans Souci, NSW, who  wrote:

I was disappointed to read a small article in yesterday's Herald about the Prince of Wales with the headline ''Prince lives like pauper''.

According to Matt Buchanan and Scott Ellis in The Sydney Morning Herald's Diary (14/12) the Orchestra capped off "a rather splendid tour" with a performance at St James's Palace before Prince Charles.

"...and by all accounts it went rather splendidly. The diary was told the performance with HRH Prince Charles was the final performance after a tour that won rave reviews in Vienna, Amsterdam, London, Antwerp, Luxembourg, Munich, Basil, and erm Birmingham."

"I have been in touch with them overnight and they told me he was absolutely warm and delightful. He was knowledgeable about the music, and asked a lot about the orchestra, and about surfing."

"The orchestra was a bit nervous to be playing in a palace but it was before their patrons and a chance to say thank you."

The Herald reports that Andrew Clements in The Guardian ended his review "... If there's a better chamber Orchestra in the world today, I haven't heard it"
