Closing the Diamond Jubilee National Conference, Executive Director, Jai Martinkovits, and National Convenor, Professor David Flint, presented Riverina Branch Secretary, Rhonda Schipp, with a small thank you gift.

Mrs. Schipp then thanked delegates and made some concluding remarks.

Speaking at the Diamond Jubilee National Conference, Shadow Minister and good friend of ACM, Mrs. Sophie Mirabella MP, shared her personal views as a member of Tony Abbott's shadow cabinet.

Further, Mrs. Mirabella recognised that "it's very important when you try and look forward into the future to see what a particular administration might do, to look at the leader".

"Tony Abbott is someone who understand our history right through to the marrow of his bones... a true insight into the character of the man is that he has the humility to understand and accept that anyone of us today cannot easily better the collective wisdom of the political and constitutional deliberations that have evolved of hundreds of years," she added.

Speaking at the Diamond Jubilee National Conference, the Hon. Bernie Finn MLC, a Member of the Victorian Parliament, spoke on Her Majesty's sixty majestic years.

Mindful of the importance of manners, Mr. Finn began by thanking God for giving us Queen Elizabeth II, and thanking Her Majesty for sixty majestic years.

Recognising that our system of government in Australia is not about an individual monarch, Mr. Finn canvassed Her Majesty's impeccable service in office.  "What the constitutional monarchy is about is Australia," he noted.

Mr. Finn then spoke on the benefits of our present constitutional arrangements.

Speaking at the Diamond Jubilee National Conference, ACM's first National Convenor, the Hon. Lloyd Waddy AM RFD QC, shared insight into the early days of ACM.

Delegates were intrigued by Mr. Waddy's analysis of our constitutional arrangements, including the role of The Queen's seven independent representatives in the states.

Mr. Waddy then shared a number of amusing anecdotes from his time as National Convenor.

Following a popular segment in the Diamond Jubilee National Conference, "Young Advocates of The Crown", the young panellists agreed to take questions from delegates.

When questioned, "boys, have you heard any compelling argument from the opposite camp as to why we should have change", Riverina Anglican College student, Alexander Turner, quickly responded "not really, NO!"
